St. Patrick's Day 2017

You don't have to be Irish to love St. Patrick's Day!

I have a gold tablecloth with green felt placemats, white plates, gold napkins with emerald green napkin rings.

My centerpiece is an ornament tree full of glass shamrocks and leprechauns.

An assortment of Irish nutcrackers is displayed on my mantle.

May you have the luck of the Irish! Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I will be sharing with Between Naps on the Porch.

St. Patrick's Day Decorations

St. Patrick's Day will soon be here and I wanted to share some of my house decor with you!

Our Billiards Room, that we use as a Den, has our own Irish Pub set up! Here is a shot of the mantel and the Victorian Buffet we use as a bar below.

Here are three of my favorite porcelain items for the season.

A mini tea set

A Pitcher

An Aynsley tea cup and saucer

I shared my Dining Room table last week, but here is a refresher!

I didn't share my Victorian wicker tea cart in the Dining Room, shown below.

Outside I have a large flag at the front door, but I don't have any pictures yet!

At our side porch entrance, I have a small garden flag.

I will be sharing with Cuisine Kathleen for her St. Patrick's Day Blog Crawl (if she gets her computer fixed!)

St. Patrick's Day Preparations

All the winter holidays are very close on the calendar this year! I'm going ahead with St. Patrick's Day, so I can start thinking about Easter!

I started with my gold tablecloth. Full disclosure, it was already on my table from my Presidents' Day tablescape HERE, and I think it makes a nice backdrop for St. Patrick's Day colors and it reminds me of the leprechaun's gold at the end of the rainbow. I used orange napkins for the orange in the flag of Ireland.

I used gold chargers and felt shamrock placemats at each place setting. The china I used is Lenox Springdale. These plates were a gift from a friend whose parents were downsizing and wanted their china to have a good home! I think they are just right for this table.

The centerpiece that I use each year is my ornament tree with Shamrocks, Leprechauns, and generally Irish ornaments, with gold coin scattered at the base.

So here's to a Happy St. Patrick's Day!

St. Patrick's Day - Just Around the Corner!

I love St. Patrick's Day! My husband and I aren't even a little bit Irish, but then again, "Everyone is Irish on St. Patrick's Day."

Here is my dining room table, decked out in the colors of the Irish Flag.

At each place, I have a gold charger covered with a felt shamrock placemat. I know that's backwards, but I like the way it looks!

For the centerpiece, I have Irish ornaments hanging on my ornament tree with shamrocks and golden coins scattered around the base.

This little fellow is on my dining room mantle, flanked by two green pillar candles.

Then, in the bay window, my tea cart has some Irish influence, as well!

The green doesn't stop in the Dining Room, though!

This vignette is in my Butler's Pantry.

My sunroom is a great spot for an Irish tea.

I love these nutcrackers!

Our Billiards Room is ready for St. Patrick's Day, too!

Here is the mantle in the Billiards Room.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Tour of St. Patrick's Day Decor

I am not Irish and neither is my husband - we just love holidays! So I am inviting you to see my house all decked out in green for St. Patrick's Day!

I don't have a lot of St. Patrick's Day in the parlor this year, but I do have this stained glass wreath in the bay window.

Here is our Billiards Room which we use as a Den/Family Room.

Lots of Nutcrackers on the mantle and a string of shamrock lights!

An antique buffet that we use as a bar.

A gaming table on the other side of the room, with shamrock coasters, of course!

Here is the Dining Room with my St. Patrick's Day tablescape.

My tea cart full of Irish dishes and a mini tea set.

The whole room - usually hard to photograph from this angle with all the light coming in!

For those that didn't see my sun room coffee table last week.

This year St. Patrick's Day decor is having to share with Easter!

I will be posting this on
