Outdoor Wednesday

Since the outdoors right now is a bit bleak, I thought I would share a bit of last Spring this Outdoor Wednesday, hosted by Susan at A Southern Daydreamer.

Here is our wisteria arbor in all its glory:

This has been blooming for many years and would qualify for historic status. It divides the line between my neighbors house and ours. It's "babies" try to invade my hedges and yard and require constant upkeep! So it's a Love/Hate relationship. But I have to admit when it's in bloom it is glorious and the scent is heavenly. If it just weren't so invasive!!!!

Happy Outdoor Wednesday! Thanks Susan!

That is exquisite! What an amazing wisteria vine. That is truly one of my favorite flowering vines, and I'm all about vines. Love them!

Thanks for sharing...

I have always loved wisteria but I have NO idea why I haven't planted any in my yard! Yours is beautiful! I think I am going to have to look for some this year!

Thanks for sharing your photos!

Happy Outdoor Wednesday!

Beautiful wisteria!!! I actually planted wisteria here in California and everyone told me it would not grow. It's been coming back for eight years now. I think I will go out and see if I see nine. Thanks for sharing,
Maryrose

Your wisteria is amazing. But I hear you. It's a toss up when a plant is that invasive. Enjoy it while you can.

I love wisteria, and yours is gorgeous. Our neighbor has one and he says the same thing, he hates it until it blooms, then all is forgiven! Kathy

Oh that is just gorgeous! I'm looking for something on an arbor. How long do the blooms stay on...and do you find it invasive? I just love it!

It is beautiful. I know what you mean. It does have a tendency to roam.

I would love to grow Wisteria but it's not recommended here in Eastern Ontario. My friends had lovely bushes over a bench where we used to sit and have a cup of tea. That was in Vancouver, B.C.
Just lovey

Beautiful!!! I love wisteria! It makes me think of the movie "Little Women"...the newer version with Winona Ryder...because they show Orchard House as being covered with it in the Spring! Lovely post...

I'm zone 4, we don't have a decent wisteria in our area. I wish we had a scratch & sniff feature. ~ Robyn
