Tour of St. Patrick's Day Decor

I am not Irish and neither is my husband - we just love holidays! So I am inviting you to see my house all decked out in green for St. Patrick's Day!

I don't have a lot of St. Patrick's Day in the parlor this year, but I do have this stained glass wreath in the bay window.

Here is our Billiards Room which we use as a Den/Family Room.

Lots of Nutcrackers on the mantle and a string of shamrock lights!

An antique buffet that we use as a bar.

A gaming table on the other side of the room, with shamrock coasters, of course!

Here is the Dining Room with my St. Patrick's Day tablescape.

My tea cart full of Irish dishes and a mini tea set.

The whole room - usually hard to photograph from this angle with all the light coming in!

For those that didn't see my sun room coffee table last week.

This year St. Patrick's Day decor is having to share with Easter!

I will be posting this on

Happy St. Patrick's Day to all!

A Classic March Battle

This year March Madness has taken over my decorating - no, not college basketball!! It's the battle of  the Leprechauns vs. Chicks and Bunnies! Easter comes so early this year, they must learn to coexist!

But since St. Patrick's Day comes first, let's celebrate that first!

My sunroom coffee table is spread with a linen tea towel, which was gift from my daughter when she went to Ireland a few years ago. On that I have various china with shamrocks collected through the years. And daffodils from my yard in a green glass vase from Historic Jamestown.

More St. Patrick's Day next week!

Dogwoods in Carolina on My Mind

As I promised last week, I have packed up all the snowmen, snowflakes and wintery items. So - On to Spring! I do have some daffodils blooming, but the rest of my yard still looks a little bare. So I decided to go with some faux dogwoods until the real ones bloom!

I used a gold tablecloth and a gold sequined charger to start. I then added a Carolina Blue vase and ruffled place mats in the same shade. Dogwood is the state flower of North Carolina which you may remember from a table I did last year CLICK HERE TO SEE.

I used white plates with a Dogwood paper salad plate on top with matching place card holders. The pine cone salt shaker is for the state tree and the cardinal pepper shaker is for the state bird of NC.

On the mantle, I used blue candleholders with pink dogwood ornaments I found on clearance at Belk.

Golden Snowflakes

Last weekend, I had decided to put up all my snowmen, winter, snowflake decorations when I put up my Valentine's Day decor. But, a small, surprise snowfall delayed my plans!

So here's a table of Golden Snowflakes before we turn our attention to Spring, St. Patrick's Day and Easter!

This table was actually a make-over of my New Year's Eve table featured HERE.

I got these place card holders from Target on Clearance!

I love this golden snowflake teapot with cream and pitcher. I got them at Cracker Barrel years ago on clearance, when I got the plates.

My ornament tree has a blizzard of snowflakes - ornaments that I have collected through the years.
