Metamorphosis Monday

For Metamorphosis Monday hosted by Susan (Between Naps on the Porch)

BETWEEN NAPS ON THE PORCH: WELCOME TO THE VERY FIRST METAMORPHOSIS MONDAY!

Here is a before picture of a room in our house back when we bought it. My house was built in 1883 and we are renovating it using the US Dept of Interiors guidelines.

After we ripped up the carpet, this is what the floors looked like.

We used Bradbury & Bradbury wallpaper which is authentic to the era of our house.

  5. This is a beautiful room, and I love the rich colors. The wallpaper border looks like it could be Art Deco era or Arts & Crafts era, and it really adds a ton of personality :o)

  8. As I read everyone's comment, I can see they all had their mouths open in awe, JUST LIKE ME! This is a super share since I adore historic homes. My Beloved's and my dream is to own an historic home one day to convert into either a B&B, a teahouse, or a ministry for married couples that are in crisis that would be offered free of charge. So appreciate this M.Monday post! Have a blessed day~ ~CC Catherine

  24. That is just too beautiful!!! Your finished picture looks straight from a magazine.

The word "plunder" is a fun word isn't it? Hmm, I would find someone to hook to all those bells and buttons. Maybe call it Hubby buttons?

Thank you so much for all your comments! I really do treasure them all. If I don't respond to all of them immediately, it is because I work full time and share a computer at home. Thanks again!!!
